Originally designed by Sir William Chambers with the help of King George III and Queen Charlotte, this gem in the country homed the Dowager Princess of Wales, and regularly entertained Kings and Queens from nearby Windsor Castle.

Boclair House Hotel, Glasgow

If, like us, you want to feel like a princess on your big day, then the Boclair House Hotel’s Arran Honeymoon Suite is for you. A golden Art Deco style room that sits in a converted turret, it features a beautiful ornate bed, a round copper bathtub to soak in and a breathtakingly beautiful wet room. Achnagairn Castle & Estate, Inverness 

A listed heritage building, Achnagairn castle has been through a lot. From being the set of the Outlander series to a World War II hospital, it’s seen it’s fair share of history. Now, it’s a magically romantic place where every room is bursting with charm and character.

The bridal suite itself is serene, stunning and flooded with light. The four-poster bed, the standalone whirlpool bath and its natural accents gives the room a sense of tranquillity, perfect for the night before your big day. The bathroom is equally luxurious, adorned in pink marble with a dramatic shower and double basins.

Marleybrook House, Kent

Close to the historic city of Canterbury, this wedding venue is versatile. With a Walled Garden, an open glade or the oak barn to say your vows in, it’s ideal for those who want to bring a little rustic elegance to their wedding. The suite itself is a private location away from the rest of Marleybrook House. Beautifully styled in white, featuring romantic white lace hung above an upholstered white bed, the room is a serene haven to revel in your newlywed joy.

Castle Leslie Estate, Ireland

We might have saved the best ‘til last. The Mauve Master Room at Castle Leslie is not only beautiful, but it has an incredible history of royals and rock stars. After 150 years, the room is unchanged. With white furniture designed by Sir John Leslie himself, a stunningly ornate mantelpiece mirror and a gorgeous shade of mauve on the walls, it might just be the most perfect bridal suite to exist.

Over the years, the Mauve Room has seen the likes of Queen Margaret of Sweden, The Duke and Duchess of Connaught (one of Queen Victoria’s sons), Prince Pierre of Monaco (the father of Prince Rainier III) and Prince Kessee, a prince of a pre-war African kingdom. Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithful also stayed in the suite in the 1960s where he was besieged by visiting school girls!
