Whether you're planning a complete home overhaul or just giving a new lease of life to a forgotten corner, the chances are you're going to be after some inspiration from somewhere and boy is there some interiors inspiration to be had these days; with the likes of Pinterest, Houzz, interiors blogs and Instagram, interior design has never been so accessible with an epidemic of beautiful homes on the rise as a result.
Sometimes, with so many great influencers to turn to for inspiration, it's difficult to know where to start when wanting your Instagram feed to be a plethora of home-related loveliness, so we've put together a shortlist of our must-have follows, from fab bloggers to highly regarded interior designers - all of whom serve up little snippets of daily goodness. So, in no particular order...
First up is Homepolish, a New York based Interior Design company started by Will & Noa with a vast US wide "designer community" to help from the smallest of interior dilemmas to complete projects. Promoting airy apartment living with simplicity at its core accompanied by design classics.
The next choice is for colour and pattern insight, Design*Sponge is a design blog run by Brooklyn-based writer, Grace Bonney. Started in August of 2004, the site was declared a “Martha Stewart Living for the Millennials” by the New York Times. Design*Sponge attracts a diverse group of devoted readers across the globe and currently reaches over 1 million readers per day. The great thing about the Design*Sponge feed is that they take every day, normal things and draw attention to their beauty - roof tiles, flora, fauna and so much more...
Our third inspirational Instagram account is closer to home, a fellow Amara Interior Blog Award winner, interior stylist, blogger (see her wonderful FBC guest posts here) and photographer from the sunny south coast (just down the road from us) is Jeska Hearne aka Lobster & Swan. This Instagram feed is awash with boho beauty, stunningly curated photography with the odd seascape thrown in for good measure and calming serenity.
Our fourth pick comes from the sublime Tessa Neustadt, a lifestyle and design blogger, photographer and general aesthetic goddess - each image on her beautiful Instagram page is perfectly framed, over spilling with tranquillity and simply makes us want to slip into a Free People styled Summer wardrobe and enjoy a marvellously monochrome life (with small hints of turquoise and pink, of course!).
Lastly, for French style classical inspiration along with contemporary designs and behind the scenes snaps, look no further than our very own Instagram page. From beautifully presented photography of our handcrafted beds to snaps of what goes on behind said snaps, we'd like to think we offer plenty of interiors food for thought.
Have you got a fabulously inspirational Instagram? We'd love to see it, tag us in your pics and we'll come over!
