With just days to go until Valentine's Day on Tuesday, we can only assume you have your thoughtful, romantic gifts all wrapped up and ready to go. But if you're still looking for a way to melt your love one's heart, nothing says “I love you” more than heartwarming fare… especially when it’s served in bed with a glass of bubbly. So dish up a little love for your sweetie with The French Bedroom Company's '4 B's' recipe for love...
The Bed - The Bed Linen - The Breakfast - The Beverage
Possibly the most important element for the perfect Valentine's Day in bed. Take one deep buttoned, upholstered French bed - the ideal base for our romantic dish; pile the down pillows high, make sure the plump duvet is fluffed and your luxury mattress is buttery soft.
The most sumptuous dressing to adorn your Valentine's love nest is our Lisbon bed linen made from 100% European linen and available in Valentine's friendly blush pink as well as grey tones and ivory. There's something endlessly enchanting about the charming imperfections of 100% linen bedding - its soft, relaxed look whispers "come hither". Layer the soft natural tones of our linen with warm, tactile textures like ivory sheepskins and velvet bedspreads for romantic cosiness, ideal for snuggling all day.
The Breakfast in Bed
In his book 'Breakfast at the Wolsley' critic AA Gill declared eggs Benedict 'the star, the Marilyn Monroe of brunch', you couldn't ask for much more from your Valentine's breakfast than an iconic Hollywood siren. Its glamorous concoction of curvy poached eggs, filling muffin and wholesome ham or bacon, cloaked in silky hollandaise sauce – is the culinary equivalent of a romantic French smooch.

On any normal day, a cup of tea handed over first thing is enough as a signal of love - however, on Valentine's Day the drinks bar needs to be raised by quite a few levels. We consider fresh strawberry mimosa's the only beverage to wake up to on 14th February. Here's our recipe for ensuring a smile on your honey's face:
- 55g chilled homemade Strawberry Juice
- 145ml chilled Champagne
- 1 sliced strawberry for each mimosa
- a fresh strawberry for garnish
How to Make fresh strawberry juice
- Make homemade strawberry juice by blending a large handful of washed and sliced strawberries with 1/2 cup water.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds.
- Store the strawberry juice in the fridge to chill before mixing the Strawberry Mimosas.
To Make Strawberry Mimosas
- Place strawberry slices in the bottom of a champagne flute.
- Fill the champagne flute half way full of the strawberry juice.
- Pour champagne into the flute until full.
- Garnish each glass with a fresh berry.
Will make about 6-8 mimosas.
