Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a home with a soft bed, and a safe bedroom. Which is why French Bedroom donates a percentage of our profits to charities providing aid, food and clothing to families in need. Most recently in December 2022, specifically to the women and children in Afghanistan as they embark upon navigating the harshest conditions in decades. They are in our thoughts.
We donated one week’s profit to support International Rescue Committee who deliver a lasting impact, helping people to survive, recover and rebuild their lives. They help people whose lives have been overturned by war, conflict and natural disasters, in countries where people won’t get the support they need to recover from crisis. In December 2022 we donated to Afghanistan, just three months later we see Ukraine facing a similar state of emergency. Our team extends into Ukraine, where our developers are based, who built our beautiful website and we are doing everything we can to stand by Ukraine.
It’s important to pause, reflect, and take time to give back. If you don’t have the profits to share, give your time, fundraising or volunteering. Campaigning to raise awareness can also be a great way to help people. We give each French Bedroom employee a paid day each year to work on behalf of a charity of their choice. Closer to home, between us we take time to look after our community.
We are proud sponsors of Honeypot and Shooting Star Chase.
Honeypot is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of severely vulnerable young children and young carers aged between 5 and 12, across the UK. The Honeypot House opened its doors to children in April 1998, and now welcomes over 672 children each year. The house is set within seven acres of the beautiful New Forest, where activities such as riding a bike, making a cake, paddling at the beach, painting a picture or playing in safety out in the fresh air are often experienced for the first time. www.honeypot.org.uk
