All that Glitters

At this time of year, with everything well and truly sparkling, we can't get enough of our "go to" seasonal colour - Gold.  It helps add a touch of magic with a girly trim whilst easily creating a sexy air when teamed with sultry blacks; this goes for both what you and your home are wearing.

We are quite often asked if mixing our metallics is a good idea in the same room - it's an understandable dilemma. A majority of people will naturally have a preference towards either gold or silver and with the huge influx of silver, chrome and stainless steel in our interiors in the past 10-15 years, some may still be of the opinion that gold is "old fashioned", however, we hope to change your mind! With a subtle touch and some thoughtful styling, a mixture of metallic accents can lift your French bedroom to a whole new level of glamour.

Rose gold and copper tones have taken the fashion and interiors world by storm in the past twelve months, enabling those looking for a slightly more subtle, yet stylish contemporary statement, to partake in this trend that's not only highly covetable but here to stay.  The rosier hues sit perfectly with black, soft greys, white and pinks giving them a versatility of ranging from modern to pretty/feminine, dependent on their surrounding.

As above, gold and silver can really work well together in interiors especially in giving more neutral spaces a glamorous edge, I've chosen some of my favourite mixed metallic French Bedroom Company pieces that could easily be worked into your scheme of French shabby chic furniture to get the Midas Touch.
