If you want to spend a minimum of £1000, and are happy to pay an up-front deposit of at least 10%, you can apply for financing through our partner Duologi, at 0% APR and with repayments spread over 12 months. A minimum deposit of 10% is required.

Our online application process is really simple. It takes around five minutes to complete, with a decision often being made about 30 seconds after completion. If an application decision needs to be referred to our team of underwriters, a decision will usually be made within 24 hours, but generally a decision will be made within 30 minutes.

Here's a quick guide to everything you'll need to know.

Who is Eligible for Finance?

Applying for an instalment plan is similar to applying for a new credit card. The details you provide are checked against public registers, such as credit rating agencies. To increase the chances of acceptance, ideally, you will have a good credit history (no late payments, CCJs, etc) and meet the following minimum criteria:

- Be over 18 years of age
- Be employed for at least 16 hours per week with an annual income over £10,000, self-employed, retired in receipt of a pension or receiving disability payments.
- Be a permanent UK resident with at least 3 years of UK address history
- Have a UK bank account that can accept direct debits
- Have a good credit history with no late payments, debt relief orders, CCJs, IVAs or bankruptcies
- Have an active, valid email address.
- Delivery must be to the address that you put on the finance application, which should match your bank account's billing address.

To apply for finance, add the products you want to your basket, go to checkout, and select to Pay in Instalments. You will directed to complete an application, and pay the deposit. A credit check will be completed against the your credit report as a part of the application process. For the majority of applications, an instant decision will be provided, but if the application does need further information, just follow the process as requested by the system and via subsequent emails. If your application is declined, you can contact Duologi for further information. An email confirming details of the credit reference agency used can also be sent to you.

For example, you could purchase a super king size luxury bed costing £1,195, and with a 20% deposit of £239 you would pay:

- 12 monthly payments of £79.67 at 0% Interest – total payable £1,195

How do I choose to pay by Interest Free Credit?
Just select the finance option on the checkout page and follow the steps on screen. You may be contacted by Divido or Duologi (who are the finance providers) if they have any questions about your application. Please note, that stock will only be reserved for you once your application has been approved.

When will my repayments start?
You will pay a deposit up front, and your monthly repayments will begin two weeks after your items have been delivered.

I want to order a product on an extended lead time. Is there a time limit on how long I am approved for finance?
Yes, there is. Our finance provider (Duologi) will hold your approval for finance for up to 90 days from the date of order.
If your order will not be delivered within 90 days from the date of order, we will be in touch. It is likely that you will need to reapply for finance.

Are there any arrangement fees or hidden extras for credit?
No. There are no arrangement fees or hidden extras.

Once my application is approved, what happens next?
Within minutes of your application being approved, you will be presented with the option to sign your credit agreement. You should read the credit agreement carefully before clicking all the relevant sections agreeing to its terms. Once you have agreed to the terms of the credit agreement The French Bedroom Company and Divido will be notified and you need do nothing more.

Will you credit score me and if so, what does this mean?
Credit scoring is the process used by financial services companies to evaluate the credit risk of new applicants.  This technique will be applied to your application for online finance. Credit scoring works by awarding points for each answer given on the application form such as age, income and occupation, together with information obtained from credit reference agencies.  This information allows us to produce consistent decisions, ensuring all our applicants are treated fairly.  The credit scoring process does not discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, religion or disability.

If you decline my application, what is the reason?
In addition to credit scoring, we also take into account confirmation of your identity, validation of certain application details, existing commitments and information held at the credit reference agencies. If you have been declined, please email suppor[email protected] or call Duologi on 0345 5211 881 Option 2 to find out if you can re-apply. A decline could be due to number of reasons, and is often based a combination of the following:

- Misspellings in your application, incomplete names or address history
- Your credit score
- Any adverse credit reference agency information
- You are considered to be financially overcommitted
- You are aged under 18
- Your existing account performance with other lenders

What type of information do credit reference agencies hold about me?
Some of the information is public information, for example electoral roll, bankruptcies and County Court Judgments.  Other lenders may also file information about accounts you hold with them, and this could include your payment history and outstanding balance on these accounts.  Any requests for credit, where a credit reference search has been undertaken, will also be filed, although the result of the request is not recorded.

How do I obtain a copy of this information?
You should send a cheque for £2.00 made payable to the relevant company, together with details of all addresses at which you have lived over the last 6 years:

The above listed agencies will provide details of information relating via these addresses. If you believe that the information is incorrect, you can ask the agency to correct it.

If my application is not successful, can I re-apply?
Yes. We acknowledge that your circumstances change and just because we have refused a previous application, it does not mean that we'll automatically turn down a further request. We do suggest however, that you leave at least 6 months between applications.

Who is eligible to apply for online finance?
To apply for finance, you must be over the age of 18, work at least 16 hours a week, or be retired with an income. You must also be a resident of the United Kingdom and have lived in the UK for the last 36 months or more. Homemakers aren't excluded from applying under their own names; however we will require the employment details of your spouse in order to process your application.

When will I receive a copy of my loan agreement?
Your welcome pack will be emailed to the email address in your application. This will contain your loan agreement along with all the regulatory paperwork, and it is sent within 7-10 days of the goods or services being delivered by French Bedroom. Can I request delivery to an address other than my home?
In order to safeguard against fraudulent applications, we regret that we're able only to deliver goods to the home address of the applicant.

What are my rights of cancellation?
With all applications for credit, you have a statutory 14-day cooling off period, when you can cancel your application for finance without penalty. This does not change the standard 14 days you have following the delivery of goods to request a cancellation and return. Further detail on our refunds policy can be found here. Can I take delivery of some goods before others if they are not all in stock at the same time?
As you have time-limited rights of cancellation, and as your payments must start for the whole loan together, the finance company insists that all goods must be taken on one delivery. This means your rights of return and cancellation all fall into a common time period.

When can I expect delivery?
Deliveries for all orders are subject to the lead times shown on our website and the approximate delivery date shown on your order confirmation.  However, for finance orders, once we have confirmation of approval there will be a 2 week processing period before we are able to release your goods. This overrides your approximate delivery date shown in your basket for any items that you ordered that were in stock and due for delivery in less than two weeks.

If delivery of your goods needs to be more than 120 days after your application date, Duologi will require a fresh credit application, in case your eligibility for finance has changed. We will discuss this with you just before delivery.

Can I combine an application for finance with any other offers?
Unfortunately, because of the cost to us in offering finance as a payment option, you cannot use any other offers. This includes using any discount or free delivery codes, or our offer of 10% off your mattress price when buying any of our luxury beds.
